About Qrogo

Published June 20, 2026 · Updated September 17, 2026

Qrogo is a privacy-first QR code platform. It does three things: a fully customizable QR code generator, hosted pages your codes can open (menus, link-in-bio, business cards, PDFs and review pages), and dynamic QR codes you can edit after printing, with scan analytics.

What makes Qrogo different

  • Static codes are free and never expire. The data is encoded directly into the code, so there's nothing to renew and no per-scan fee.
  • No watermark on any export.
  • Privacy by default. Static QR codes are generated entirely in your browser. We use no third-party trackers, and scan analytics on dynamic codes are country-only — no precise location, no selling data.
  • Print-ready quality. Export PNG, SVG, JPEG and WEBP up to 4096px.

How it's built

Qrogo is a small, independent product. Static generation runs client-side; hosted pages and dynamic codes are stored on our own server (SQLite), not handed to third-party analytics networks. Uploads are limited to images and PDFs and stored outside the web root with strict handling. We keep the surface area small on purpose — fewer moving parts, less data collected.

Free tier

Creating, customizing and downloading static QR codes is free with no account. A free account unlocks dynamic codes and hosted pages (currently up to 50 pages and 100 MB of uploads).

Where we're based

Qrogo is an independent product based in Valencia, Spain.

Who writes this

Qrogo is built and written by Chaara, its founder, and the developer who writes the code behind it. Every guide on this site is written and maintained by the same person who writes the code that generates the codes, which is the reason the privacy claims here are specific rather than vague: they describe decisions made in the source.

That work includes the in-browser rendering pipeline behind the generator, the country-only scan analytics used by dynamic codes, and the scannability constraints Qrogo enforces by default — only dot shapes that survive real phone scanners ship, and any code carrying a logo is pushed to the highest error-correction level automatically.

Corrections and questions go to support@qrogo.com and are read by that same person.
